About our Company
Keri Waltner is a glass artisan living in Fairfax, Virginia. Keri’s fascination with glass began on her first trip to Europe as a teenager, when she was mesmerized by the stained-glass windows of Europe’s greatest cathedrals. On future trips, she absorbed the techniques of the glassblowing workshops on Murano as well as the mosaics of Pompeii. In the U.S. she was inspired by the work of Chihuly and Tiffany. As a young adult she took a stained glass class; her ambitious first project was a calla lily mirror that still hangs in her home. Later, as a business owner focusing on decorative painting, Keri mastered the technique of painted glass (faux stained glass). She is currently focusing on stained glass mosaics, creating primarily 3-D projects such as lamps and vases and plates, which can be lit to take full advantage of the translucent beauty of glass.
